Birmingham - NVCF - April 2007
This yearly event, the National Vintage & Conference Fair, is organised by the ‘British Vintage Wireless Society’. They always try to have a special feature ‘attraction’ and on this occasion (2007) I was invited to set up a wide-ranging display of early telegraphs from my collection that were once used in England (70 items altogether, including a few smaller pieces such as Morse keys).
It was quite an expedition to bring my telegraphs from my home town (Halle, here in Belgium) to Birmingham, driving a van (which I had never done before) and on the wrong side of the road (which I also had never done before)…
